Railway will start recruitment 2018 process for recruitment of 70 thousand vacant posts

Railways will start recruitment process for their vacant posts of 70 thousand posts. The ZoneWise officials have been instructed to issue the notification after finalizing the recruitment process. Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) and Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) have also started preparations for it. More than two lakh posts are vacant in the Railways. An official of the Railway said that all 17 zones have started preparing for this. RRC will recruit 50,000 and RRB 20,000 posts.

In Railways 2018-19, 56 thousand railway workers will retire. In view of this, the recruitment process of the second phase will be started immediately after the first phase appointments. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal had told in the Lok Sabha, 2,22,159 vacancies in the Railways are vacant. The highest in North Zone is 27,537. East Zone has 19,942 posts, Central Zone has 19,651 posts vacant 41,128 posts of SC and ST are vacant
